Brewster Store Coffee

Brewster was populated with many sea captains who brought to our town a wide variety of exceptional items. The Brewster Store carries a selection of excellent, rich imported coffee beans which we will gladly grind for you. Or you can buy our whole beans and grind them at home with one of our hand cranked coffee grinders to achieve the fresh ground taste anytime. At the right is a photo of The Brewster Store’s antique coffee grinder. The Enterprise Manufacturing Company, which made this grinder, operated from 1864 until 1955, when it was purchased by Silex. Because this grinder has a top we know it was manufactured after 1881—probably around the turn of the century. Although it is not for sale, it has an estimated value of several thousand dollars. We are not worried about it being stolen—it takes two strong people just to lift it.
