Chutney is most widely known as a condiment originating in the Indian subcontinent. However, the concept has spread world wide to suit local tastes. It is a condiment consisting of a mix of chopped fruits and nuts, vinegar, sugar and spices. Ours has cranberries, raisins, oranges and walnuts cooked together with citric acid, pectin and sugar. It comes in a 10 ounce jar and is made here on Cape Cod. It is great with turkey and other meats and even spicey dishes.
